Please send me a message if you cannot find an answer to your question.
If you are interested in scheduling your first appointment or please fill out the contact form to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call.
During the consult call, we will discuss what you are looking for and if I am the right therapist for your needs. If we agree to work together, we will take the appropriate next steps which include assisting you with getting paperwork completed before your first appointment.
My fees vary depending on the type of therapy (individual vs couples/family) and the duration of the session. Individual therapy appts are $250 for the first session, and $235 thereafter for 50-minute appointments. Couples/Family therapy appts are $250/appointment.
Many of my clients use their out of network insurance benefits to offset the cost of sessions after meeting their deductible. Many PPO insurances with out-of-network benefits will reimburse a percentage of the fee to you. Depending on the insurance carrier and plan, insurance may cover anywhere from 50-80% of session costs. For information on your out of network benefits, call the number on the back of your insurance card or review your plan online.
Ask your insurance provider:
If you need to provide a “CPT code” or a “service code” you can provide the following codes:
HSA/FSA accounts/cards can also be used to cover the cost of services in lieu of a credit card.
Therapy sessions typically last for 50 minutes, but the duration may vary depending on the type of therapy and the needs of the client. Longer sessions can be arranged at prorated rated.
I recognize that for many, it is difficult to juggle the many responsibilities and attend therapy sessions in person. Furthermore, virtual therapy has increased access to providers by removing the barrier of distance. I work with clients who live north of San Francisco to south of San Diego. I offer video sessions using a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform that makes going to therapy easy and more consistent.
The No Surprises Act is part of a legislative package passed in December 2020. Its primary goal is to ensure patients understand the costs of their healthcare services ahead of time, thereby reducing the likelihood of being surprised by a massive bill from their provider.
As of January 2022, under the "No Surprises Act," health care providers are required to provide patients who do not have insurance and / or who are not using insurance with an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
I provide my clients with a good faith estimate at the start of services to ensure transparency and adequate time for discussion.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call CMS at 1-800-985-3059.
